NUE QUICK FIVE

Tell us a little about yourself and what got you started painting ?

I originally started drawing geometry to occupy my mind and to help stop me drinking. Without realising at the time, the mindfullness of doing the dotwork was doing incredible things for me it helps me with depression and a small amount of anxiety too. So I’ve replaced drinking with drawing. I never dreamed I’d be doing street art festivals and commissions for my local councils, it’s mind blowing when I think about it.

Best place you have painted (obviously after the Nue Jam ) ?

Apart from NUE Daxtonbury is a music, family oriented 3 day festival near santa pod, that was my first music festival experience and I knew within a couple of hours, this is the life for me!

Any big plans for this year ?

Big projects in my local town for the town and Borough councils , and I’ll be organising the artists corner at daxtonbury this year on the 12th – 14th of July.

Tell us your funniest moments when out painting ?

I was painting on a boarded up pub on the High Street and an “older chap” saw me cable tying my gopro to a lamppost and stopped, looked at it, then looked at me and said “tut! Not more camera’s, surely?” I replied “nope just setting up my little one to capture me doing my artwork” he’s walked off shaking his said and saying “unbelievable!!”

Anyone who you would like to collaborate with?

I’d love to collaborate with loads of people, but my main inspirations are Annatomix, Iwalkadifferent path, Astek and a million more!
