Pleased to be Welcoming back Mind Control to Tamworth this June
Nue quick five
Tell us a little about yourself and what got you started painting?
I began painting in 2012 after visiting Melos stencil workshops , I was about 12 at the time , I began applying for festivals and eventually got accepted for numerous festivals including one in Berlin , it all kind of took off from there ! I’ve developed my own work since and now do more freehand portrait work and am trying to develop a style at the moment , every day is a learning curve .
Best place you have painted?
I think everywhere I’ve been has been different but brilliant in their own way. I suppose Bristol is one which I love which is why I have chosen to move down there for university in September !
Any big plans for this year ?
Other than moving down to Bristol to try and make it as an artist I am doing multiple paint and music festivals , just going to try and enjoy myself as much as possible !
Tell us your funniest moments when out painting ?
It’s always a laugh out with most artists , either something going hilariously wrong or just the characters you meet . It’s normally at the pub after which the funny things happen , give free ciders to a group of artists and all hell breaks loose , I remember once deekay falling asleep in the pub with a bottle of rum in his hand. Five minutes later there must have been about 4/5 pint glasses balanced on his head 😂
Anyone who you would like to collaborate with?
I’m up for collaborations with anyone , would love to work with Curtis Hylton , a big inspiration to me at the moment and such a cool guy. I think we could come up with something awesome .
