It was great to see the man like Korp make his debut for Nue last year along with The Battle lines crew.

Tell us a little about yourself and what got you started painting?
My name is Korp, I’m a full time artist working out of Stamford in Lincolnshire. I’ve always been able to paint and draw so nothing started me being creative, its just something I’ve always been able to do. From a stencil art point of view what got me started was seeing a Youtube video of Logan Hicks painting his Saigon Alley piece, it blew my mind.
Best place you have painted?
My favourite paint jam was Head Jam from a few years ago . It was a small gig in the courtyard of Head Hairdressing in Southsea organised by Strong Island and My Dog Sighs. I spent the day painting with My Dog Sighs, Miss Wah, Id-iom and Process. The weather was perfect, the crowd were on form and we were well looked after by Strong Island. There is a video floating around on Vimeo of the day….thats worth a look.
Any big plans for this year ?
Its my first full year as a full time artist so I’ve got loads of plans. I’ll be curating more exhibitions at my gallery like #CutSprayAndPray this summer and hosting a small paint jam there as well, keep an eye out for Korpfest II. Personally im taking a bit of time out to work on some new big multi layer stencil pieces to help secure some exhibitions in 2020.
Tell us your funniest moments when out painting?
The after parties are always good fun and I’ve attended some great ones over the years, the 2 Pigs in Cheltenham, the Victoria in Burnham surrounded by SSOSVA and the Old Crown at City of Colours all stand out for different reasons but the Hen & Chicken after Upfest is the best.
Anyone who you would like to collaborate with?
Im lucky enough to have collaberated with loads of people in the past including Nol, Miss Wah, My Dog Sighs, Bunny, Mimic, Chunxx, CurtisCreationz, Mr the Beef, Winniemmay, Process, Sool, Konze, Stina Jones and so, to be brutally honest, I’m looking forward to doing my own thing for a little. On saying that I could always be tempted by Guts, M-One, John D’oh, NME, Tankpetrol 😀
