Tell us a little more about yourself and what got you started painting?

I’ve always enjoyed drawing and painting but got serious about art when I first got my hands on some oil paints. I’ve been painting portraits for a good few years now and never get bored of all the little details that make people themselves. During the lockdown last year I wanted to try something different so started messing around with some spray paint in my back garden. I quickly caught the hype. There’s less pressure if you make a mistake it’s an easy fix, I love how much faster cans make you work too.

Best place you have painted?

I got to do some work for Latitude festival in 2017 painting and making props for the kids arena. We ended up staying for the whole weekend and seeing some great artists which was a bonus. I’m still fairly new to getting my personal work out and about so really looking forward to going to a couple paint festivals this year and meeting all the other artists.

Any big plans for this year?

I’ve got a series of paintings being released though a gallery very soon which I can’t wait to share! I’ve also decided to go back to education and do my masters. I managed to get a place on the Bristol Old Vic Scenic Art MA. The course sounds amazing and I can’t wait to get out in a creative city and have some new adventures.

Tell us your funniest moment while out painting?

I tend to just be in the zone when I’m painting although I’m pretty clumsy so I’ll quite often head out after without realising I’ve got paint all over my face. Why does no one ever tell me!?

Anyone you would like to collaborate with?

I’d definitely want to brush up on my skills first but I’m still fascinated by Artists who get to work on huge buildings. Some of the best scale portraits I’ve seen have been by Smug One, Jody and Zabou.
