Goosensei will be returning to Tamworth after a few years out

Nue quick five

Tell us a little about yourself and what got you started painting ?

I grew up in Southern Portugal and despite it being a relatively rural area there was plenty of street art that caught my attention from a very early age. I remember going to a skate park when I was about 10, in one of the cities in the area and seeing the place covered in murals after there had a been a paint jam and it really blew my mind. It was a few years after that I managed to get my hands on some montana spray paint and I caught the bug.

Best place you have painted?

A couple of years ago I painted a mural as part of a New Years Eve rave in the hills in Southern Portugal. It was a great party in a really beautiful setting, when the morning sun came up it was shining on the mural I painted and it was a great moment with everyone around dancing to the music. I also have really enjoyed painting in Birmingham over recent years.

Any big plans for this year?

No big plans, but to really just create more art in general, I have put my DJing and producing first for a while now and I would really like to get back into painting more this year as it was my first creative passion when I was growing up.

Tell us your funniest moments when out painting?

I think it has to have been about 12 years ago, having to hide in the bushes waiting for the coast to clear so to speak. It happened about three times that night and it was just a bit of laugh having to hide out so we could finish the piece.

Anyone who you would like to collaborate with?

Ah there are so many, to name a few N4T4, Astro, Babs, Otis Chamberlain.
