Bristol based artist Georgie Web is heading to Tamworth on the 9th September for our Art of Tamworth weekend.

You should all know the drill by now and know we ask new artists to answer  the infamous Nue Quick Five.

Tell us about yourself and what got you painting?

Im Georgie and I used to paint at school and loved it but then years later when Id moved to Bristol and was totally broke I needed Christmas presents so picked up my brushes again.  My parents were delighted but I look back at that painting now and its terrible but its what sparked everything.

Best place you have painted?

Its defo not exotic but I really enjoyed painting the shop front for Bristol’s 650th birthday this year as it is right in central Bristol so probably the most prominent place any of my art has been so far.

Any big plans this year?

I’m still relatively new to large scale painting so I’m doing a lot more of it this year and loving it.

Tell us your funniest moments when out painting.

I painted a large wall next to a primary school playground which resulted in lots of laughs with the children’s reviews of what I was painting – they loved it luckily and a week being their full time ball girl!

Anyone who you would like to collaborate with?
I absolutely love @househomo ’s interior murals and would love to colab with him one day.
