Tell us a little about yourself and what got you started painting?
My name is Chunxx. I’m a illustrator/ street artist from Birmingham.I’d say I specialise in in character in the rubber hose style. In turns of graff, I’ve been interested in the culture ever since I was a kid. Shout out to jet set radio on the dreamcast. Was always doodling away, tagging here n there, but never took it seriously until I was in uni. Finding out about secret walls n the underground art battle scene got me hooked. Eventually leading me to compete and haven’t stopped since then.
Best place you have painted?
I think best place I’ve painted was at this dubstep studio in brum. Assassin sound system was the label n they just renovated this old factory forge room into a studio called the Vault. Last piece they needed to do was getting me and Roots to paint a mural as a feature wall. We git it finished at the opening party. Turned into a pretty mad night haha
Any big plans for this year ?
I wouldn’t say they’re big plans. I want to refine my can work and become cleaner. Want to hit up some big walls n make a really stand out piece. Got some really cool ideas that I just want to get up.
Tell us your funniest moments when out painting ?
I don’t know. Loosing six cans to the channel. Other people found that one funny I guess.
