Tamworth Environmental Arts festival returns to Tamworth castle grounds 10th and 11th September.

 

Tamworths Environmental Arts festival hosted by local arts group New Urban Era will return to the Dell at Tamworth castle on the 10th and 11th September.

 

The event was launched in 2021 and will be extended over two days this year  with Performances and workshops to entertain the crowds including The Flying Peach Trapeze, Environmental Arts workshops by Andy Nash and South Staffordshire college,Bibbledy Bob, Visual artists and Tamworth’s Midland Yoga.

 

New for 2022 will see spoken word performed at the band’s stand with Amerah Saleh headlining the Bandstand on Sunday 11th and Joe Cooke performing Saturday 10th.

“We are really looking forward to this year’s Environmental Arts festival and look forward to introducing Spoken word to the event , Amerah Saleh has performed at venues world wide and was recently commissioned to write a poem for the commonwealth games 2022 . Having her on this year’s line up is a real scoop for the event.”

 

The event is part of this year’s We love Tamworth project that invites the local community to come together to showcase their work across the Castle grounds.
