Creatives ascend on Tamworth
At the weekend 30 artists from across the UK traveled to Tamworth for the official Launch of New Urban Era’s Creative Community Tamworth project that has been funded by Arts Council England.
Artists painted to a Hero’s and villain’s theme and were accompanied by cosplay group Central Legion, Local. Band Rize and local DJ’s.
Attracting 450 visitors to North Warwickshire recreational center the event was hailed as a great success by organisers who look to host the event annually.
Nue are now seeking members of the public to join its new Community Advisory Group who will support the organisation in its decision making and new projects moving forward.

It’s really important the organisation is community led to enable us to deliver projects that are what the local community want and need , So I urge the locals to get in touch and bring their ideas to our first meeting this September ”
Creative Community Tamworth continues during the school summer holidays with a fully booked workshop program for local children,The workshops have been supported by Staffordshire Space scheme and Tamworth Borough council.The project will move to local schools with a number outreach projects in September.
Tamworth Environmental Arts festival will also take place in September the two day event will see multiple arts in Tamworth castle grounds on the 10th and 11th.
Nue beatbox finals will return to Tamworth on the 15th October.
Creative community Tamworth will end in December with a Christmas spectacular.
