Receiving over 100 submissions in 2021 the project is going from strength to strength with professional artists such as
Si Mitchell , Sp zero and Roots getting involved to name just a few along with 9 local schools and individuals all taking part.
New Urban Era founder Vic Brown says
“I was overwhelmed seeing the We Are Angels show reel projected onto Tamworth Castle Saturday evening .
Being the first time curating anything like this I was a little nervous but once the flood lights went down and the castle came to life with Angel wings I was delighted and for it to be snowing was the icing on the cake making it a truly magical experience for Tamworth.
We received over one hundred entries for this year’s Angel wings project including submissions from professional artists , local schools and south Staffordshire collage.
This is what’s magical about We are Angels it’s open for everyone to get involved in.
With many different age groups and abilities being chosen for the projection and trail . I believe this year we only dipped our toes in the snow with the We Are Angels and look forward to developing project to its full potential in future years”
The we are Angels project will run until January for visitors to find all the wings around the town centre and we will be at The Victorian Christmas fayre this Saturday with our popup projections that will then be situated at Ankerside shopping centre for the rest of the project.
