After receiving funding from Arts council England and Tamworth Borough Council the Environmental arts festival will now take place during fall of 2021.
The festival is being lead by Vic Brown from Nue who was honoured by The National lottery in 2020 for his contribution to the arts during lockdown that included being one of 13 UK residents being featured in galleries across the UK for Portraits of the People.
Vic Brown says
“It’s fantastic to be able to start planning face to face events again and we can’t wait to start working with Tamworth’s creative community this year .
However it’s important to remember we are not out the woods yet so Nue will be taking a careful approach with smaller events this year.
Another thing Covid brought to everyone’s attention was our environment especially during the first UK lockdown when everything came to a halt and possibly for a long time we took in the beauty of our surroundings and how important or environment is to us.
We will harness this through the Environmental arts festival and invite the public to join us in being environmentally conscious moving forward “
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported Nue to make this year’s projects possible especially the local small businesses and members of the public who helped raise the match funding to secure this year’s project grants “
