Tamworth Urban arts Group New Urban Era will stream possibly the first ever online live  Graffiti event this Saturday with 8 Artists taking part .

 

Nue will go live on their Facebook page Saturday 9th at 11am with a selection of the UK’S finest artists including Gnasher , Peachezz ,Si Mitchell and Tamworths very own Wingy and Helen Martin.

 

To top the live stream  Nue have Djs supplying the music including Tamworths Drum and Bass producer AKA , DIGITAL MASHED will provide a special mix from the Label  Top Draw Digital followed by Trans4mers who are firm favourites at the annual urban arts and sports festival.

“It has been a difficult start to the year and we have worked very hard in re thinking  the way to deliver this year’s projects but we believe we have got something special for Tamwoth and the wider arts scene”

Other active projects from  Nue include the Unity Mural Project that allows the general public to submit artwork that will be printed into large scale murals and displayed at Tamworth venues such as Ankerside shopping center .

Art crawl is the second project that will be Kick-started in the coming weeks and will invite local businesses to provide art space for some of the UKs finest  artists to paint original art works creating an Art crawl in the town centre to boost the local economy and night life offering of the town.

Further works will also be added to the ongoing Cycleway arts trail that was a huge hit with locals last summer .

Plans to bring more artwork to Tamworth from Artist Sophie long are in motion

“Without doubt we are Tamworths most active visual arts group and will be back with something never seen in the town before by continuing with our annual festival but with a different approach.

If and when it is safe to do so we will work with partners to host a public event for all to enjoy but until then we hope everyone continues to stay safe “
